Munktell CxD pHoton™ BenchBlot, Polyethylene Coated Absorbent Filter Paper

BENCHBLOT was designed for the protection of laboratory benches and working areas. Spills of chemicals, toxic, infectious and radioactive materials etc. are quickly soaked up in the filter paper and the layer of polyethylene prevents penetration to the surface below.

Contaminated BENCHBLOT can be disposed of safely by burning, since the polyethylene coating is of virgin material containing no B.H.T. These same physical qualities make BENCHBLOT a useful material within the conservation workshop and for which many new applications may be found by the creative conservator. BENCHBLOT can also be used as lining material in boxmaking, and as a barrier in conservation Picture Framing to prevent acid migration from the backboard and moisture penetration from the back of the frame.
