Humidity Indicators
Various types are available to monitor inside humidity conditions of barrier bags. Two types are available that can be fitted into the barrier foil bags. The Humidity Indicator Cards is a small inexpensive and easily portable card for giving approximate humidity readings. This consists of a strip of blotting paper impregnated with cobalt chloride each divided into nine sections which exhibit various colours, from blue through lavender to pink. The position of the lavender section indicated the relative humidity of the surrounding air.
