MicroChamber® Mounting Boards, Boxboards and Paint
MicroChamber® Alphamat® Artcare mount board actively protects the framed or mounted work by eliminating the harmful molecules present as by-products of deterioration, and in the atmosphere surrounding the work. MicroChamber® utilises molecular traps that are inert, non reactive crystalline cage structures which do not react with the substances they absorb. Incorporated within the structures are two alkaline buffers (calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate) to provide maximum neutralising efficiency. Alphamat® Artcare mounting boards meet all the standards set for alkaline buffered conservation papers. They are sulphur and lignin free, have a pH of 8.9 and pass the Photographic Activity Test.
